3K magicians here in Oro emerged as favored performers during the magicians competition held last November 26 which was participated by 15 magicians from Mindanao and the Visayas. Dexter Deauna was declared champion and received a cash prize and a certificate. The second place went to Ian Paul Cemagala also from 3K magicians.
The event was initiated by Party Mascots in line with the foundation anniversary of Pigrim Christian College here.
Deauna in an interview said that he learned the skills in magic through watching television and from other people who are willing to share their skills in magic.
He said that he learned the skill in magic just four years ago and now he could perform several tricks from table magic to stage magic. Deauna categorically distinguished table magic that comes in the like of cards, coin, reading minds and many more adding that in stage magic; these are where the magician performs tricks with the use of some props.
Furthermore, Deauna claimed that performing magic tricks becoms his hobby when he was in college. Unknowingly, his acquired skill helped him buy all his desired materials for his tricks and for himself for a lot of people already are inviting him perform some tricks during birthdays, weddings and any occasions where his skills are needed to entertain people.

Besides that given skills, Deauna is also a registered nurse who just passed his licensure exam last July, and now four big hospitals in Cagayan de Oro are tapping him to work with them because of his added skills that could entertain people in all walks of life.
