Cagayan de Oro City Vice Mayor Caesar Ian Acenas is leading a team of investors and city officials in inspecting a resort with a dual zipline today at Barangay Baikingon.
Vice Mayor Acenas and representatives from the City Engineer’s Office and members of the City Tourism Office will check on the feasibility of Glonwicks Highland Resort in Baikingon, some 20 minutes from city proper.
The said resort is operated by the Lacar family and owns the distinction of having the first dual zipline in the city with a length of 500 meters. The longest dual zipline is in nearby Dahilayan in Manolo Fortich. While riding the zip, one can have a view of Macajalar Bay, Iponan River, Mt. Mirayon in Talakag, SM City and Lumbia Airport. As shown in the billboard, they’re building a swimming pool too. The Read my first post about Glonwicks HERE last May 17, 2010.
Meanwhile, in a related development, another zipline is also set to open in Cagayan de Oro specifically in Barangay Bayanga just south of Macahambus and Monigue Cave. Said undertaking is owned by Jatico Family. So we’ll wait on this new development.
The city is indeed the adventure capital….more tourists to come.
