Construction of the Divine Mercy Church is expected to start soon as the building committee responsible for its construction at the Divine Mercy Shrine has finally decided on the winning design. Accordingly, it will begin by December this year. This is according to an article published in a local newspaper.

The Divine Mercy Church is part of the 8.5-hectare Divine Mercy Shrine Complex in El Salvador, Misamis Oriental and is fast becoming a pilgrimage site for many Catholics and as a tourist spot for the general public.

The main photo above shows the newly-built Marian House also within the shrine complex. More photos of the Marian House below. All photos taken by Lester U. Lim

The Shrine is managed by a tripartite group, the Archdiocese, the Marians of the Immaculate Conception, and the Divine Mercy Foundation of Mindanao Philippines Inc.

Hopefully, the church’s design will be released to the public.
