Exactly a little over a month since my last update, Limketkai Hotel is progressing very fast as the main columns of Cagayan de Oro’s first 18-storey hotel are very much visible now even from the outside. The steel columns are now as high as three storeys.
Workers are seen working very early and reports say construction c0ntinues even at night. Most notably, the contractor is slowly installing its tower crane or cranes (I counted at least 2 or perhaps a 3rd one) as seen in the photos below. Maybe in the next few days we’ll now how many t-cranes will be used. These equipment makes construction faster especially in high-rise structures as loading of heavy materials are easily done.
Just browse over the pictures and click for a larger view. I was tempted to take a closer picture at the north side (beside Gateway Tower 1) because they have removed the steel barrier and you can clearly see (just a few feet away) the steel columns being erected. If you pass by the area by just simply walking towards McDonald’s, you can stop by and take a closer look (and take some snapshots). Maybe, Ill do it next time. As of now, just be contented with the following pictures.
