The National Statistics Office celebrates it’s 70th year anniversary, running on the theme: “Pitong Dekadang Kaagapay ng Publiko sa Patuloy na Pagbabago” Seven Decades of Support to the Public with Continuous Change.

In region 10 NSO, Regional Director Salvador A. Aves reiterated the words of President Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino on seeking the support of all citizens towards change for a better Philippines. And that every government agency should move with unquestionable integrity in delivering services to the public. Dr. Aves further added that NSO started serving fellow Filipinos using immediate implementations of whatever modern technological innovations through the years. Years back, getting a security paper document would take a month since a document request has to be sent through postal mail to Manila. Now with the advent of Internet facility, a document can be availed in less than ten minutes if a situation like human factor allows it. Demands for NSO security papers are usually at its highest during the first quarter of the year. This time, there are fewer clients coming to the office.
