Construction of the P386 million Puerto flyover will start soon after officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Central Office and the French project contractor met with City Mayor Vicente Emano at his office at City Hall yesterday.
Work is scheduled to start anytime soon and will be hastened to be completed in early 2011. According to info, construction will take about six (6) months. The flyover or skyway as others would call it will begin somewhere near Puerto Market and end near Sabal Puerto Hospital. It will just hurdle the junction going to Bukidnon similar to the picture shown above.
This project would definitely ease up traffic in the area, particularly in the Puerto Market and overpass area leading to the junction. When completed, eastbound vehicles will avoid getting stuck in slow moving traffic approaching Puerto Junction.
