Some specific details on the proposed Jose Ch. Alvarez Technology Complex which will rise next year at Manresa Campus of Xavier University.
As shown below, the location of the complex is right across Pueblo IT Park (Phoenix Petroleum) and Masterson Mile.
In earlier press release, the two buildings will be designed for the 21st century. With a small environmental footprint, these will have state-of-the-art rainwater, wind, and solar catchment systems for efficient energy and water use. The buildings themselves will be a teaching tool and icon for green architecture.
The P72.3 million facility is expected to be completed in 2011. Xavier University, represented by then President Fr. Jose Ramon T. Villarin, SJ, and Asian Carmakers Corporation, the official distributor of BMW cars in the Philippines, represented by Mr. Jose Ch. Alvarez, Chairman formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement last June 17, 2010 at Shangri-la Hotel, Makati City for the donation of the P72.3 million to fund the construction.
