Philip “Papot” Paredes finally had his breakout game last week since donning the green jersey of De La Salle University.

Paredes scored 10 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and blocked 6 shots as the Green Archers routed the University of the East Red Warriors, 82-63. Paredes, who played high school ball at Sacred Heart of Jesus Montessori School in Cagayan de Oro City, patrolled the lane so effectively that his defense paved the way for DLSU’s lopsided win. UE on the other hand relied too much on Paul Lee who got little help from his teammates.
