TWO young boxers from Misamis Oriental are scheduled to fight in Turkey this coming July.

One of them, the 16-year-old Albert Pagara will be gunning for the World Junior championship belt.

Engr. Dan Jamolin, tournament manager of the “Ramble sa Misor” boxing stable, said Monday that Pagara and another young hopeful Daryl Basadre are deemed to bring honors to the province of Misamis Oriental.

They’re now training hard under the supervision of Elmer Pamisa and assistant coach Bobby Jalnaiz.

Pamisa assessed Pagara as having the potential to become one of the big fighters in the future.

“Hindi ko pa talaga masabi kung anong meron sila (Pagara and Basadre). Pero I can see na maganda ang kinabukasan nila sa boxing,” Pamisa told Sun Star Cagayan de Oro.
