Cagayan de Oro City moved two notches up from 9th last year to 7th this year among the top 10 investment destinations for business process outsourcing (BPO) in the Philippines.

The city has been included as among the ‘Next Wave Cities’ for BPO, as well as the information and technology sector.

The city’s abundant graduates and workers, cost of doing business, infrastructure, cost, and business environment contributed to the city’s rise in the ranking.

The city currently has three call center operators, namely: Concentrix (formerly Link2Support), Arriba Telecontact, Inc. and Capitol University Call Center.

Hopefully, more BPO firms will invest in the city.
