CAGAYAN de Oro is fast becoming a center for commerce and trade in Northern Mindanao. And with its industrialization, more buildings are sprouting like mushrooms within the city.
One of these is the R.T. De Leon Plaza with three commercial buildings at different locations. Its main branch is located at the corner of Velez-Yacapin Sts., Cagayan de Oro City.
R.T. De Leon Plaza’s buildings are full of tenants with some entrepreneurs wanting to make reservations for new openings.
Rhea Sha-Sha De Leon-Sebastian, managing director of R.T. De Leon Plaza, said Friday there are more than a hundred occupants that she is supervising every day with only one assistant but has 11 security guards manning the buildings 24 hours a day in shifting.
She said De Leon Plaza chain of buildings accommodates boutiques, construction firms, law and accounting offices, cable network offices, facial centers, beauty clinics, pawnshops, internet cafés, photocopying establishments, hotel, rent-a-car firm, computer surplus center, food supplement center, medical clinic, direct selling office, ticketing office, travel and tours firm, learning centers, among others.
De Leon Plaza is a family-owned business which started as a simple trade of imported ammunitions managed by her father in the early 70s.
Sebastian said it was then diverted into a real estate business called R.T. De Leon and Sons Realty Development Corporation in 1976 and later expanded its services to catering business establishments in one building.
De Leon Plazas are also located at the corner of Pabayo-Pacana Sts. and Pabayo-Cruz Taal Sts. in downtown Cagayan de Oro.
Sebastian said they are still accepting reservations. Those interested may just visit their main office at the second floor of R.T. De Leon Plaza in Velez-Yacapin Sts.
