Patrick Cabahug scored 18 points while ex-pro Neil Rañeses added 13 as the Misamis Oriental Meteors bounced back from a heartbreaking setback to Cobra Energy Drink, with an 86-79 win over sluggish Treston Laguna in the Tournament of the Philippines Second Leg at the Lagao Gym in General Santos City.

Dino Daa and Khiel Misa had 12 and 11 points respectively as the Meteors put the game away by taking several 19-point leads in the second half. Also contributing for the MisOr is ex-pro center Mark Andaya who scored 7 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.

Alain Musni led Laguna with 16 points and 12 boards.

MisOr lost to Cobra Energy Drink, 69-70 last Wednesday but Coach Jun Noel attributed the loss to lack of team chemistry especially with some new players on the team. They will now play a knockout game against host MP Pacman Gensan, who earlier lost to Cobra, 82-79. The Meteors will now have their hands full against World boxing champion and Congressman-elect Manny Pacquiao and the Warriors.
