Passed by the 11-hectare industrial complex at Katipunan, Villanueva, Misamis Oreintal being developed by Coca-Cola Bottlers Phils. Inc. (CCBPI) this morning and took some snap shots of the area. As seen in the pictures, there is ongoing massive earthmovement and earthfilling activities on the site.
Engineers are still conducting surveys of the possible final elevation level and perhaps topographic plan for the P3-billion bottling complex which is expected to produce popular beverage brands such as Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite, Sprite Light, Royal, Pop Cola, Sarsi, Cheers, Lift, Jaz Cola, and Sparkle and Wilkins, the most admired distilled bottled water in the country today.
Picture still shows a water pondage at the center of the property, a product of recent rainfall. This is just temporary due to the ongoing civil works. The plant is expected to be operational by first quarter of 2011.
Seen in the background shown below is Cargill Philippines, Inc., maker of animal feeds of the “Purina” brand. The vicinity is characterized of industrial use such as SUGECO, FB Uy Dressing Plant, and Limketkai Mfg. Corp., and Phil. Sinter Corp. a distant further.
With this new development, more work will be made available for the province’s workforce. With Hanjin rumored to resume their shipyard project in a few months, expect business to be booming in this side of town with positive economic impacts on Cagayan de Oro City and the region as a whole.
