A TOTAL of 226 young athletes have graduated from the Milo Sports Clinics held this summer at the Don Gregorio Pelaez Sports Complex and other sports venues in Cagayan de Oro.
Milo sports clinics organizer Megdonio Llamera said this year’s athletes are more in number compared with last year’s.
Llamera said the activity is a prelude to the holding of an early schedule of this year’s Milo Little Olympics’ Mindanao qualifying round on July 30, 31 and Aug. 1.
“We congratulate the parents who sent and supported their children to the sports clinics,” he said.
Llamera informed the parents during the graduation ceremony that the national final is scheduled to be held in Cagayan de Oro on Oct. 13-17 with contingents from Luzon, Visayas and the National Capital Region participating.
“We will be selecting top and qualified athletes being the host area. Ipakita nato nga dili kita magpa-ulahi og pangandaman ta kini,” he said.
