Allegro Ice Cream, a Davao-based maker of ice cream is planning to expand its operations to Cagayan de Oro City. This is based on some news articles (BusinessWorld) quoting Heide Y. Hechona, the company’s operations manager.

Allegro Ice Cream was started in 2006 and produced ice cream products using European technology and European-made machinery with a Dutch consultant, Fred Bekker.

The company has 31 outlets, including three in General Santos and another three in Digos, Davao del Sur. The planned expansion to CDO is this year.

Allegro Ice Cream intends to be a leader in “reasonably priced” novelty ice cream by avoiding freight and handling charges after establishing a plant in Davao, which has been on maximum production capacity since last year. The plant produces 1,500 kilos of ice cream per week.
