James Yap and the rest of the Derby Ace Llamados will try to bounce back from their first loss in the KFC-PBA Fiesta Cup at the hands of the Coca-Cola Tigers last Wednesday when they clash with the Alaska Aces on Saturday, April 17 at the Xavier University Gym in Cagayan de Oro City.

Coca-Cola inflicted Derby Ace its first loss in 2 months, 79-76, during a tension-filled game Wednesday night at the Araneta Coliseum.

Alaska halted a 6-game losing dating back the previous conference as it walloped the struggling Air21 team, 105-95 also last Wednesday. The Aces were swept by Derby Ace in the Philippine Cup finals, 4-0, and started the tournament with 2 more losses before ending their woes Wednesday night. Diamon Simpson had 29 points, 14 rebounds and 3 blocks while getting enough support from the locals for Alaska’s first win after three starts.

Players to watch are Llamados’ Import Lorenzo Wade, Marc Pingris, Paul Artadi and Nino Canaleta while Willie Miller, Sonny Thoss and Joe Devance will try to backstop Simpson.
