As a rejoinder of my post last March 25, 2010, Limketkai is developing a temporary parking area at the vacant lot behind the movie billboards. As seen in the pictures, LKKS has conducted earth-filling on the area (about as high as 5 hollow blocks) as a measure against possible flooding in the area.
Earthmoving is still on-going with a back hoe seen onsite and several dump trucks transporting filling materials.
Portions of the sidewalks are being replaced with environmental pavers.
Below is the fenced area for the hotel projects.
Updates on the East Concourse Extension and proposed Starbucks. A 2-way escalator will be built on the space provided. Work has ceased on the proposed Starebucks after some initial developments. Perhaps, change in design?
More parking spaces now available.
Work on the roofing of the skywalks has also ceased. LKKS is now concentrating on the hotel project. In fact, they demolished the bridge which connects to the Gateway Building.
Missy BonBon will open soon.
Below is the Gateway Tower…the second building behind it is originally a 4-storey building but work was suspended at the fourth floor when LKKS decided to construct a twin 8-storey building.
