Members of the media pooled Thursday at the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) office for the pre Labor Day nationwide simultaneous press conference.
DOLE Assistant Regional Director, Sisinio B. Cano was joined by heads/directors of the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) members and discussed notable updates to the media.
Agencies present include the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB), Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) and (Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Federation.
“Manggagawang Pilipino, Kaagapay sa Pagbabago,” is this year’s theme for the labor day celebration.
Series of pre and post activities were lined up to drum up the event.
There will be a job fair, photo exhibit, skills demonstration and One-Stop-Shop at SM Car Park on April 30.
Awards for outstanding employees and livelihood assistance will be given on the peak of the event.
Iligan City, Oroquieta City and Malaybalay City will likewise hold job fairs. (PIA-10)
