As stated in previous press releases and news articles, construction of Ayala Mall in Cagayan de Oro will begin by the fourth quarter of this year.
I was searching for possible new renderings of the project but as of now, I can only present some of the slides in the latest analysts briefing by Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) Senior Vice President and Chief Finance Officer Jaime E. Ysmael. Based on the first slide shown above, both the Cagayan de Oro and Subic Mall projects are scheduled in the final quarter of 2010.
There was no mention of a retail establishment in Cagayan de Oro in the last briefing in 2009 but is now indicated in the latest briefing as seen below.
Below are sample of ALI’s new ventures into economic housing…there were earlier reports that some of these Ayala brands below will be developed in the city.
In November 2009, it was mentioned that a Community Center was planned for Cagayan de Oro. And it was also rumored to be established at that Floirendo lot. Good thing that they decided on the mall…perhaps a Community Center or a Neighborhood Center is what’s best for Alegria Hills as of now but there are also rumors that a bigger development is planned for the area in Indahag-Camaman-an (which as I may quote – “will shine like pearls from afar”).
At the bottom of the slide is a Boutique Hotel, which is also planned for the mixed use development in Cagayan de Oro.
It is also indicated that it will have a 38k sq.m. or 38,000 sq.m. but based on ALI’s letter to the Securities and Exchange Commission, the mall will have an estimated 40,000 sq.m. of gross leasable area. You can read the whole letter below.
Well, that’s all for now…..stay tuned.
