Contrary to what I posted last January 27, 2010, that building being constructed right now shown above is not the Divine Mercy Church, but rather the Divine Mercy Office and Convent. This I found out after a visit to the site a few days ago.

The building is really huge and the fact that all of the funds came from donations…God is Good! really!

The 3-storey edifice sits on a sloping terrain with a magnificent view of Macajalar Bay. The entire complex is designed by renowned architect Felino Palafox.

Below is what the building looks like at back…

… along the sides…

…from afar…

More installations at the back of the statue…

Nursery for the landscaping….

This is said to be the site for the Divine Mercy Church at the back of the statue. Construction of the church is said to commence after the convent.

The main entrance gate of the Shrine Hills is also now taking shape.

Below is the main entrance road from the main gate.

The completion of the Shrine Hills will result to a masterfully designed religious cum tourism destination in El Salvador City, in Northern Mindanao…or perhaps in the country.
