The National Statistics Central Office recently awarded the performance rating rankings to the various Provincial and Regional Offices nationwide during the National Planning Workshop held in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte on February 15 to 19, 2010.
NSO-10 office holds on as First Place in Field Awards for year 2009, topping nationwide for 17 consecutive years since 1993.
Camiguin under Provincial Statistics Officer (PSO) Norma Quilala, ranks 5th and Misamis Oriental, under PSO Malou B. Igdon, ranked 9th. NSO-10 also received a special award on Gawad Career Executive Service of which Regional Director Salvador received a plaque of recognition from President GMA in Malacañang on November last year.
Other Special Awards for Information Dissemination, Bukidnon ranked 4th Place, Camiguin 5th. For Partnership and Linkages, Lanao del Norte 5th Place.
Field Award is based on the categories of operation in the fields of Statistical, Civil Registration, Information Dissemination, Partnership and Linkages and General Administration.
The National Office conducts yearly evaluation of all branches to come out with Field Awards to deserving offices.
