The Cagayan de Oro Leg of the 2009-2010 Vis-Min Series of Honda One Make Race Underbone Circuit Race will be held tomorrow, February 7 at Parking D of Limketkai Center.
The Honda One Make race underbone circuit race is a ten-race series happening in Visayas and Mindanao. Included in the series is Davao, Cebu, Iloilo, Bacolod, General Santos, Cagayan de Oro, Tagum and Tagbilaran.
Underbone Circuit Racing or road racing is one of the fastest growing motorsports in the country today and by staging the Honda One Make race Underbone Circuit Racing, Honda Philippines Inc. is helping the development of sports further in a higher level, providing thousands of Honda motorcycle riders and owners a chance to develop and hone their skills in racing and as well as riding, providing them a professional race that promises to be exciting and exhilarating.
Top racers from Cebu and Davao cities will join the Honda One Make race in Cagayan de Oro City tomorrow. Cebu top circuit racers such as Keken Cabahug of Cyrus Racing / Honda Motorworld Race team, 2009 Cebu Rider of the Year Lyndon Requilme and Moises Munoz of TMAC Racing / Honda Motorworld, Bobby Mencias of BMR / Honda Motorworld and 2009 Davao Rider of the Year Ernie Daguio Jr. of JR Upholstery and Motor-R Republic racers such as Vingie Coloma, Chirss Karlou Samoga. Racers from Tagum City will also be joining the race such as Heikki Gabuelo of Rhean. Nats & Bikes Racing will be joining the 5th leg of the 2009 – 2010 Honda One Make race Underbone Circuit Racing Vis-Min series here in Cagayan de Oro.
The race will be the first of its kind in the city which will be staged on a makeshift track at Limketkai Center. “We hoped that we will be able to continue underbone circuit racing or road racing here in Cagayan de Oro city, since we introduced this kind of race September last year,” Honda One Make Series Race event manager/organizer Jong Uy said. “We started circuit racing in Cebu and Davao in 2006 and now it’s really growing fast, so we expect the same way here in Cagayan de Oro city,” he added.
The Honda One Make race is sporting five race classes such as 100-110 Super Stock Beginners, 100-110 Novice Open, 4-AT Open (All Honda Beat), 125 Super Stock Beginners and 125 Novice Open.
Strict schedule should be followed during race day on Saturday, 7:30 p.m. practice and registration, 9:00 a.m. time trial / qualifying, 11:00 race briefing and opening ceremonies, 11:30 a.m. first heat 100-110 SS Beginners and followed by all the race classes.
