The new rendering of the proposed high-rise Limketkai Hotel is now installed on site. My camera battery was almost dead but luckily I took the last two (2) shots of the hotel and the Gateway Twin Tower (another post).
Based on the design, it will now have a 33-storey main tower and another 18-storey second tower—that is if my counting is right. It’s somewhat a good improvement from the twin 21-storey hotel a few years ago.
As you can see, there is a pool on the second floor. The ground floor will have a high ceiling which is obvious to have a showcase lobby. The second tower has another entrance but I believe both buildings are joined at ground and second levels. The Gateway Twin Tower at right is part of the Limketkai Hotel and Office Complex. The color is still kinda’ Limketkai…
The billboard also revealed LKKS established a new company, Limketkai Hotel and Resort Corp., obviously to manage the hotel and office business of the Cagayan de Oro City’s main commercial complex.
I was amazed that the hotel will have 33 floors – again if I counted it right. Maybe the management thought of the upcoming 30-storey City Center at the back of the new amphitheater. It was disclosed in previous press releases that Mr. Alfonso Lim of LKKS will build the tallest building in Mindanao. But perhaps the 30-storey City Center of a Korean Group upstaged him.
Below is the billboard as seen onsite. There were few workers installing perhaps the perimeter fence for the project which is expected to commence soon. The area also has been cleared.
The old rendering…
So the long wait is over….finally!!!
