I happen to have a short visit at Asia Brewery Inc.’s plant at El Salvador City just recently and from the penthouse of the complex, one can clearly see the Divine Mercy Shrine. Interestingly, I saw this under construction building just beside it.
It’s been a long time since I’ve been to the Shrine Hills, maybe about middle of last year. Then I recalled that it was announced during the anniversary of the Shrine that the construction of the Divine Mercy Church will start soon.
So the photos above seem to show that construction of the church is in full swing. Too bad I wasn’t able to see it up close but I’ll be contented with my camera’s zoom lens.
Below is the original perspective of the Church as designed by Palafox and Associates. Perhaps they made some changes.
The completion of this church will further add to the growing number of devotees to the site. Correspondingly, more tourists for the new city.
