St. Francis Xavier Parish Church will soon rise on a two-hectare property next to Philamlife Village which was donated by Pueblo de Oro to the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro for that purpose.
Parishioners mostly residents from Pueblo’s residential villages as well as neighboring communities have recently conducted a fund-raising activity for the church project. Regular mass has been celebrated at the multi-purpose hall since last year but due to increasing attendance, a daily mass as well as three Sunday masses instead of one are now being held.
While the architectural plans for the church are being finalized, Pueblo de Oro is coordinating with the Archdiocese and the Parish Pastoral Council to help get corporate sponsors for the construction of the church and other auxilliary buildings.
