News reports taken from BusinessWorld stated that the Bellevue Group will open a three-star hotel with a convention center in Cagayan de Oro possibly in 2010.

Branded “Hotel B,” the chain is meant to cater to tour groups, over-nighters, and corporate clients looking for more affordable rates. The info was relayed by marketing and communications director Ryan Y. Chan.

Still no further details on this project as to location, how many rooms, etc….This is said to be the second Hotel B to be opened by the group, the first being a 150-room hotel at Madrigal Business Park in Muntinlupa, Metro Manila slated to open in March 2010.

This project is probably different from Paseo del Rio because the Pelaez Group is building a 5-star hotel as stated in earlier media releases. Further, Bellevue has stated that Hotel B is a budget hotel catering to the economy class.

Now, this is interesting and something to look forward to.
