City Mayor Constantino ‘Tinnex’ Jaraula congratulated the five-man Cagayan de Oro City Arnis Team for its sterling performance in the National Arnis Encounter held in Manila recently.

Mayor Jaraula conveyed his congratulations to the Cagayan de Oro City Arnis Team, headed by Asset-In-Arnis Training Director Leo A. Villegas, when they brought pride and honor to the city after grabbing one (1) silver medal and three (3) bronze medals during the national tournament held late last month.

Lightweight Sannie Mark Bongcaras took home a silver medal while the three (3) bronze medals were delivered by heavyweight Christine Cantal-Villegas, half-lightweight Mary Grace Labandia and extra-lightweight Jovanna Lea Mabaquiao.

For his part, Asset-In-Arnis Training Director Villegas, who also served as coach, thanked Mayor Jaraula, Secretary to the Mayor Rogelio “Jigs” Jaraula and City Sports Executive Director Engr. Isidro Borja for their financial assistance and support on the participation of the city’s arnis team to the tournament.
