The Franchise Institute of the Philippines (FIP), under the auspices of GMB Franchise Developers president Armando “Butz” O. Bartolome, will be touring Cagayan de Oro City on November 28, 2009 to educate the public on responsible franchising and the intricacies of the franchising business.
Bartolome, the country’s most sought-after speaker on franchising who has been conducting seminars, client consultations and speaking engagements in Metro Manila and in neighboring countries in Asia and the Middle East saw the extent of interest and the need to also educate the public in key cities and provinces nationwide.
Supported by the Department of Trade and Industry and Media Blitz PR Consultancy, the franchise road show will be held at Tita Fannie’s Liempo and Chicken Haus in Cagayan de Oro on Nov. 28.
In starting a franchise business, it is important that one is armed with knowledge on these topics particularly in identifying who is the responsible franchisor and who is not. This is due to a fact that there are a growing number of individuals who have been scammed into buying in to a franchise business that offers little support, planning and preparation which these unscrupulous companies are just interested in getting their franchise fee. Worse still, there are individuals who disguise their MLM businesses to look like legit franchise businesses.
