SM City Cagayan de Oro’s Ikera Olandesca, 6, and Rolando Ng III, 6, will be among 12 pairs of cute, talented and adorable kids who will compete in the Grand Finals of the SM Little Star pageant, which will take place at 6:00 p.m. at the Music Hall of the SM Mall of Asia on Sunday, October 11.
The Cagayanon duo will go for the gold with their storytelling and reading and speech and poem writing talents. They will try to succeed fellow Cagayanon Ralph Daniel Diola who won the same event last year.
Great prizes and a chance to bring their star quality to the next level await the grand prize winner who will bring home P200,000 worth of cash and Sodexho gift passes; P12,000 worth of gift certificates from Toy Kingdom; a birthday party package from Nido Fortified Science Discovery Center; and birthday party gift certificates from SM Storyland.
They will also get a chance to develop their talents through a one-year-talent management contract from Stages Product Specalists, Inc., and a music academy scholarship from Trumpets Workshop. Winners can also learn to be a star on the lanes and the rinks with a bowling scholarship from the SM Bowling Center; and a day of unlimited ice skating at the SM Ice Skating Rink.
The grand finals is the culmination of a month-long search wherein more than 5,000 kids aged four to seven all over the country registered to join the search. Twelve pairs were chosen during the regional finals last September 20 and the winning pairs will be chosen on the following criteria: 40 percent for talent, 30 percent for personality and 30 percent for star quality.
