Cagayan de Oro pride Ricardo Cawaling Jr. played briefly during the Smart-Gilas National Team vs Powerade Team Pilipinas fund raiser for typhoon “Ondoy” victims at the Araneta Coliseum last Monday, October 5, 2009.

Cawaling who was fielded briefly in the first half and in the final minutes, hit a triple from the corner, the last basket of the game which Smart Gilas won handily 98-69.

The Gilas players showed more cohesion and better marksmanship than their hastily-assembled, PBA-backed counterparts, resulting in the easy victory that left Serbian coach Rajko Toroman beaming with pride.
