City Mayor Constantino Jaraula led the groundbreaking ceremony recently of the New City Tennis Court along Archbishop Hayes Street beside Xavier University. The existing tennis court near St. Augustine Cathedral will be demolished to give way to the pay parking building to be constructed at the site. The flowershops will be transferred to the promenade beside the Golden Mile. The new tennis court is calendared to be finished in December this year.
Info at the site showed the area has already been cleared with minor excavations. Some workers were also seen. Accordingly, they’re waiting for the delivery of construction materials.
