A replica of a Chinese Pagoda can now be seen at the Gaston Park. In earlier press reports, the park will have Chinese, Japanese and Korean Cultures. Still, the park is closed to the public but the park facelift project has been done carefully.
I believe the pagoda will sit at the side of a small pond as seen below.
One of the significant changes in the park are the elevated gardens along its peripheries. New pathways made of ornamental stones can be noticed.
The lush greenery of the garden can be observed.
Below is a bamboo community, I haven’t seen them before. It’s just across Avon beside the Chinese Pagoda.
Below is another significant addition showing a large earthenware “banga”.
New concrete benches can also be seen. I would also suggest for the city to replace the playground (swings, slides, monkey abrs, etc…) which are already defective.
I hope this park would be open to the public soon.
