The City Government of Cagayan de Oro, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Provincial Office of Misamis Oriental, Promote CdeO Foundation, Inc. and the Local Implementation of National Competitiveness for Economic Growth (LINC-EG) Project is set to forge a partnership agreement today, August 20, 2009 in a bid to streamline the city’s processing on business permits and licenses.
City Mayor Constantino “Tinnex” Jaraula, DTI- Misamis Oriental Provincial Director Ma. Eliza Pabillore, Promote CdeO president Ruben Vegrafria and LINC-EG Chief of Party Rose Mary Garcia are the expected signatories in the agreement signing that will be held 9:00 am at the Dynasty Court Hotel this city.
The forging of the partnership agreement basically aims to foster collaboration by and between the proponents in the conception and implementation of the proposed business registration and license streamlining project.
In a nutshell, the proposed streamlining project shares with the city’s vision and ideals of efficient and effective service to the business community, thus, greatly contributing on the competitiveness and economic growth of Cagayan de Oro City.
The Local Implementation of National Competitiveness for Economic Growth Project is a four-year policy reform project of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and managed by Nathan Associates, Inc.
It aims to effectively assist local stakeholders, particularly in Mindanao, in their efforts to spur investments, expand business activities, create more jobs and alleviate poverty. (City Information Office)
