Pension houses and lodging accommodations is just a booming business in Cagayan de Oro City nowadays. With a slowdown in the economic performance in the country, more people are opting for cheaper, affordable but good quality inns, hotels and other facilities. That’s why budget inns and pension houses are sprouting all over the city. Aside from the ones I’ve mentioned in earlier posts, there are two new facilities slated to open anytime this August or September.
Yumi Pension House, (above photo) located along Tomas Saco Street is a 3-storey building with fully airconditioned rooms when finished. It is just across the entrance road to Paseo del Rio and Kagay-an Bridge. Commercial spaces will be available at the ground floor.
Another 4-storey unnamed pension house will also open soon just beside Park View Hotel and fronting the Community Amphitheater. Based on the tarp, it will be 4 storeys but the building is 5 storeys high. I guess the ground floor will be leased for commercial spaces. The building is one of the oldest in the Divisoria area and has been renovated to suit the growing demand for rooms in the city.
