The huge international success of Xtatic has brought about the emergence of numerous youth dance groups and competitions in Cagayan de Oro, particularly on the hip-hop and crumping dancing scene. Now come the G.Blaze Dancers, an all-female hip-hop dance group out of the MX Version group who’ve been in numerous events in the city scene.

G.Blaze Dancers started along with MX Version as A’Teens Dancers (male and female group). For some reasons, the group was separated on 2005 and that was when the G.Blaze was born as an all female dance group composed primarily with 5 members on September 22, 2005.

The first name of the group A-Blaze was changed when one of the members suggested to change the first letter “A” with a “G”, which stands for “Girls”.

By then the group used the name G-Blaze (which was changed later to G.Blaze), which means Blazing Girls.

The group has joined a lot of competitions inside and outside the campus, which is MPSC (now Mindanao University of Science and Technology), where most of the members study.

One of the competitions the group has joined is the Strictly Hiphop 2006 at Limketkai Center. The group also performs in different malls around the city of Cagayan de Oro.

Currently the group is managed by Gabby Bacarro under Cagayan de Oro Talent Center and the Official Dancers of Max’s Restaurant.

Despite of the connection with MX Version, the group chose to be independent, struggling for more opportunities and to pursue each one’s dreams for the group and to the other girls, making everyone see that GIRLS CAN ALSO RULE THE DANCEFLOOR!
