Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction – Philippines (HHIC-Phil) yesterday (June 16) set up a Mindanao Project Team to prepare for the reopening of HHIC operations in the Phividec Industrial Estate, in the event that the world shipbuilding business shows sign of recovery. The team already put up a fence along the boundary of the estate’s premises as an indication of the reserved area for development. Since April 2008, HHIC has been running a training center within the vicinity to provide job opportunities to local residents and, in turn, contribute to the development of the area.
