Two Indonesian diplomats visited the city Thursday to explore potential business ties between Cagayan de Oro City and Manado City, Indonesia.
Andhika Bambang Supeno, Indonesian Minister Counselor for Political Affairs and Muhammad Sukarsono, Protocol Officer of the Indonesian Embassy in Manila paid a courtesy call on Mayor Constantino Jaraula last April 16, 2009.
According to City Information Officer Erwin Culanag, the visit is envisioned to foster trade, economic, tourism and sisterhood relationship between the two cities and is “a prelude to business matching and sharing” between the two cities.
Culanag said that Indonesian Consul General Asmardi Arbi had also visited last month to discuss to discuss the “exploratory ties on trade and economy.”
Mayor Jaraula also hosted a dinner with the guests last Thursday, which was attended by city council officials and members of the business sector.
