After Miami Inn, 4 more budget and economy hotels will open this year in Cagayan de Oro City.
Oro Capital Inn beside Capitol University Medical City is reportedly opening this week. It is good for transient individuals and travelers.
Grand City Hotel is also completing its new hotel located beside Polymedic General Hospital along Velez St. The building used to be Colors Disco and renovation and construction are currently being fast-tracked. Located at the city’s main street, the hotel is very accessible with proximity to good restaurants, and the night life.
Also ongoing renovation and conversion into a budget hotel is GV Hotel (as indicated on the tarpaulin) at the CITI Appliance Building beside Capitol University along Corrales Extension.
Not to be outdone, UKC Builders is constructing Monte Carlo Budgetel right across Capitol University.
The current boom in the city’s tourism industry is spurring the construction of more hotels and other accommodations in the city.
Last year, Pearlmont Inn expanded its hotel along Limketkai Drive. Also, Mallberry Suites Hotel began its massive 3 building expansion to double its room capacity. Construction is on-going.
Within this year, Limketkai & Sons will reportedly start their 21-Storey world class hotel. Another hotel and convention center is also being planned by the Golez Group in their so-called Paseo del Rio near Kagay-an Bridge.
Seems the tourism industry in the city isn’t affected by the crisis.
